We're supporting recovery conversations with groups and organizations
Converting statistics into stories
We are a peer-run media company, producing online content and events to engage with and support those in active addiction, treatment and recovery – to provide hopeful and powerful stories to support groups and those affected by addiction.

We also reach out to the broader community to reduce judgement, stigma and fear, by showing that many challenges and solutions to addiction and recovery can have a direct and positive community outcome.
Our media projects aren’t statements, they are conversation starters. Only through engagement can we shift thinking in society.
Our recent recovery stories have received over 37,000 views and hundreds of shares, both growing daily. People are engaging with us.
The Engage Recovery Roadshow
ENGAGE
Engage is a video series that explores, challenges and celebrates the many aspects of recovery. The format is a facilitated discussion or talk show, featuring guests with direct experience of a particular subject. Each episode aims to:
-
share knowledge and experience to help those in similar situations.
-
"broaden the constituency," through creating awareness and understanding outside recovery communities.
-
reduce stigma and alienation.
-
aid understanding of addictive behaviors.
The ENGAGE Recovery Roadshow
After completing 4 episodes, we are now taking ‘Engage’ on the road and recording 8 episodes with audiences, to debate issues, and reflect on experiences and successes. We will travel to various cities throughout Washington State (list below).

The benefits of this format can:
-
reduce stigma, misunderstanding and fear.
-
expand awareness amongst the recovery communities.
-
promote greater bonds among recovery communities.
-
promote greater bonds between recovery and general communities.
-
increase awareness outside the world of recovery.
-
inform supportive policy and legislation, through focused topics.
-
make all our findings 'sharable', in the interests of improving understanding and action.
-
act as a connector between individuals and groups.

DEVELOPING AWARENESS & SUPPORT
within and beyond recovery circles
We’ve broken down the world of recovery into four basic categories - to illustrate the idea that in order to improve perceptions, support structures and funding, we also need to consider ways of exporting recovery beyond the current circles.
To achieve this, recovery needs to be presented not just as a solution (and necessity) for those who have been in substance addiction, but also to the majority of society living outside the 4 circles. The tools for recovery are relevant to nearly all forms of post-trauma and suffering.

Also, those in recovery contribute enormously to society across the spectrum – from the arts to the sciences and everything in between. So, recovery is not just about receiving – it’s also about giving – contributing to society in a meaningful and tangible way.

People in recovery
To expand awareness and understanding of recovery, we need to emphasize what we have to offer, as well as what we need. The tools and methods available to people ‘in recovery’ would benefit a far broader section of society, including those with other addictions (food, technology, sex, media, gambling,...).
What we do in recovery has value far beyond its currently defined boundaries.
